At Skytourbcn we continuously adapt to COVID-19 prevention safety requirements. Our experiences are carried out on board two different helicopters, depending on the type of route:
- The Robinson R44 model is used for the Barcelona Coast & Besós and Barcelona Coast & Montserrat tours. In this case, a minimum of two passengers is required, the maximum capacity being three.
- The Airbus AS355 helicopter is used for the rest of the flights, namely the Barcelona Coast Tour, Barcelona Sky Tour and Barcelona Sky & Montserrat Tour. The minimum required to arrange this experience is four people, with a maximum capacity of five passengers.
If you want to book a private flight where you will be the only passenger, you must pay the amount required for a full helicopter, that is, the price for three passengers on board the R44 and that of five on board the AS355.
- The maximum capacity on board model R44 is 3 passengers + 1 pilot.
- The maximum number of people on board the AS355 is 5 passengers + 1 pilot.
Bear in mind that this seating capacity per helicopter is used as a reference when none of the passengers weighs over 110 kilos. Those whose weight exceeds such figure must pay the amount corresponding to two seats on the flight and, therefore, the route will be carried out with one passenger less. People whose weight is over 130 kilos will not be able to book experiences on board the R44 since that is the maximum weight that the seats are approved for. If this is your case, contact us so that we can inform you about alternative arrangements.
Yes, if you weigh more than 110 kilos you will have to book two seats on the helicopter scheduled for your air route. If you weigh over 130 kilos, you will not be able to fly on board the R44 helicopter since its seats are approved for a maximum of 130 kilos. In the case of the AS355, you would be able to fly because there is no weight limit per seat, although there is a total passenger load limit per helicopter. Nevertheless, contact us so that we can inform you of alternative solutions or arrangements.
At Skytourbcn we want you to enjoy an unforgettable flight experience and we strive to meet your expectations. However, we comply with the strictest safety measures and, therefore, it is essential to know the exact weight of each of the passengers who are going on the route, both for technical and safety reasons and so as not to compromise the helicopter’s stability.
Our experiences can be enjoyed from the age of two, with no upper age limit. Nevertheless, children under three years of age will have to fly seated beside their parents or legal guardians.
Yes, for safety reasons and to guarantee flight stability, people who are over two metres tall will not be able to board the helicopter.
Yes, although if this is your case, you must be accompanied. To offer you a quality experience, we have fully adapted our facilities. Even so, we would ask you to inform us of your condition when you book the flight so that, as far as possible, we can make the necessary arrangements.
If your group does not reach the minimum number of passengers required for the experience that you want to book, at Skytourbcn we will try to fill the remaining seats to the best of our ability. Even so, it is also possible to fly without reaching the minimum capacity provided that the price of the full helicopter is paid, that is, the price for five people on model AS355 and for three on the R44.
We will let you know the time of departure the day before you are due to live the experience.
To ensure that you have an excellent experience, there are a series of regulations that are to be complied with prior to boarding:
- You must arrive 20 minutes in advance of the time your helicopter is due to take off.
- You must make your check-in and weigh yourself on a scale that only we will see in order to respect your privacy.
- You must bring your booking voucher, either printed or on your mobile, alongside a physical identification document such as your national ID or passport.
- You must go through the metal detector before boarding the helicopter.
- Follow our team’s safety instructions at all times and respect all the flight rules.
- Make the most of your experience!
For safety reasons, you cannot fly with wallets, scarves or camera sticks. Besides, you must switch all your electronic devices to plane mode.
Yes, provided no selfie sticks are used, since, for safety reasons, it is forbidden to carry them on board.
Yes, taking photos and filming with mobile phones or cameras that are smaller than 30 cm, with no selfie sticks, is allowed. Nevertheless, for safety reasons, you must follow the instructions given by ground attendants at all times. Besides, our cabin crew cannot film or take photos of the landscape or the passengers during the experience, since they must remain attentive to boarding, arrival and the movement of the helicopter.
For safety reasons and to ensure the helicopter’s stability, it is not possible to choose a seat in any of the experiences. In the boarding area, the staff in charge of informing you of the safety measures on board will tell you where you must sit according to your weight, always supervised by the pilot. This also applies to private flights where there is only one passenger or where the maximum seating capacity is not reached.
In general, we ascend 400 metres above Barcelona’s highest building. Nevertheless, we adapt flight altitude depending on the site that is to be viewed at each time and according to technical or weather conditions.
We have planned each of our helicopter routes to ensure that you can fully enjoy each of the privileged views of the city of Barcelona from the air, its beaches, the Besós river or Montserrat Mountain Nature Park. Hence, the flight and the entire duration of the experience vary according to what you have booked. For reference purposes, the current duration of flights is between 7 and 40 minutes, while the total duration of the experience is approximately between 25 and 60 minutes.
Our Barcelona heliport provides ample facilities for you to comfortably wait while we make the necessary preparations. You will have access to free Wi-Fi and vending machines with food, beverages or flight souvenirs. Besides, you will be able to take as many pictures as you wish from our terrace and enjoy privileged views of the bay.
Although at Skytourbcn we strive to organize routes every day of the year, there is a chance that our flights may be cancelled due to adverse weather events, especially in cases of low visibility or strong winds. If for such reasons you cannot enjoy your experience, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
You can change the date or cancel the experience provided that you notify us at least 24 hours ahead of the flight. Once take-off time has been notified, we do not accept cancellations or changes. If you fail to show up for the experience, you will be charged 100% of the cost without the possibility of claiming a refund.
Although we strive to provide the best service, we reserve the right to cancel experiences for technical or administrative reasons, weather conditions or airspace restrictions. In such cases, you may reschedule your date or receive a full refund.
You can currently purchase flight experiences using a credit or debit card through the Servired/RedSys gateway, or by bank transfer.
